Since our founding in 1984, CFM has built its business around strong partnerships, exceptional service, and a commitment to helping HVAC contractors, dealers, and industry professionals succeed.
PHOTO · EARLY CFM SACRAMENTO WAREHOUSEIn 1984, CFM Equipment Distributors began with a simple idea in the back of Park Mechanical, an HVAC contracting company. Like many contractors at the time, the founding team understood the frustration of poor service, limited support, and distributors who felt disconnected from the realities of the field.
Rather than accept the status quo, they set out to build a distributor that understood what contractors need: people who answer the phone, solve problems, deliver on commitments, and stand beside customers when challenges arise.
More than four decades later, CFM continues that mission across a growing branch network, industry-leading product lines, training resources, technical support, and reliable product availability. Our purpose remains simple: helping our customers and employees succeed.
From a Sacramento start in 1984 to six branches across two states — with expanded product lines, training resources, and trusted manufacturer partnerships along the way.
Everything we do — from the way we run the counter to the warranties we honor — is guided by teamwork, excellence, and ownership of every opportunity to serve better.
If we list it, it's on the floor. No "next day from a warehouse three states away" — actual inventory, same day, at the branch nearest you.
Counter teams that average twelve years on the trade. Bring us the job, not the catalog page — we'll work it through with you.
Manufacturer-certified courses, the Alliance education network, hands-on labs every month — built around the techs you employ.
Warranty handled in-house. Tech support by phone. Credit team that says yes to growing contractors. We're in it past the sale.
One Sacramento warehouse in 1984. Today: a six-branch network supplying the trade across two states.
Whether you're a contractor opening an account, a customer with a project, or a tradesperson looking for a counter job — we'd like to hear from you.
